at the southern tip of the African continent one not only finds a kaleidoscope of cultures and a Rainbow Nation, nature also lets it all hang out with absolutely no inhibitions whatsoever… The oldest desert on earth, two oceans, the smallest but richest floral kingdom, the second and 3rd largest canyons on earth, a mighty river that disappears into the  sands of a semi desert, a waterfall named The Smoke that Thunders, Dragon and Table Mountains as well as a rich history stretching back to the Cradle of Humankind.

Here we have elephants, lions, whales and leopards. Herds of  zebra grazing on seemingly endless plains and a  splash of stars stretching from horizon-to-horizon in our night sky, the complete palette is showcased in Southern Africa. 

The call of a Pel’s Fishing Owl, or a flash of crimson as a Knysna Turaco flies overhead in the indigenous forests, represent only a fraction of the 900+ bird species that occur in the region making it a bird watching paradise for the newly inspired  and seasoned birders alike.
